Kruger Rock to Limber Pine
Chosen Trail
The third day we rode from the restroom to Limber Pine then down Kruger Rock. Yvonne and I ventured out on Limber Pine for about 10 minutes after the fork with Kruger rock. You could keep riding Limber Pine but you would end up at Hermits Hollow Campground and then you either back-track or walk down the main road. After about 10 minutes we turned around worried that we and our horses would be exhausted by the time we got back to camp.
On another day I would like to ride up Kruger Rock, take a right on Limber Pine and then walk back to camp on the main road. The main road is pretty long and would be hot on a summer day so this could end up being a 5-6 mile ride. Another option would be to tack up on your last day and have your spouse drive your trailer to Saddle Trailhead or Hermits Hollow Campground. Then you can just ride the 1.9 miles on Limber Pine and not have to ride back to camp! I will be back and will update this ride on our next trip!

Trail Experience
This picture is taken from Kruger Rock trail looking down at the 4-way fork. We took the trail to the left that continued as Limber Pine. According to my map horses were not allowed on the Kruger Rock trail at this point.
We started out through some trees and then the trail started going through some tight switchbacks with rocks.
At this point we decided to turn back after riding for <10 minutes. It was our third day of camping and both we and our horses were tired. This trail continues for 1.9 miles to Hermits Hollow Campground. It looked like a lot more switchbacks and rocky footing.
