Looking at Google maps it is possible to ride from Pattridge Park to Tucker Lake. There are two main options. Below is one option via 78th drive. Here is another. You can also read about riding from Tucker to Pattridge along the electric wire trail.
Sam and I rode from the South end of Pattridge to Tucker Lake in about 25 minutes at a walk/trot. We rode the way back from Tucker Lake to Pattridge Park in about 15 minutes at a trot/canter. This connection is nice because it allows you to make a really easy trail more interesting and longer. It is mildly suburban and good training for your horse riding through neighborhoods. Sam is not the best horse for suburban riding but he did farily well on this trail. We did cross the traffic circle at W 78th drive, crossed W 76th drive, and Torrey Court. We rode this trail on a Saturday and there was really no traffic in this neighborhood. It may be easier to ride from Tucker Lake to Pattridge as you are less likely to get lost and can have a shorter ride. We did ride 20 minutes in Pattridge Park to get to the South connection trail off of Leyden Creek.
We started off on the most southern trail from the Leyden Creek Trail from Pattridge Park. There was a flat section of grass besides the cement path.
We climbed a switchback and cut across the cement path using a dirt trail. After the switchback you start approaching the neighborhood. We did see a couple dogs in back-yards but nothing too scary. At the summit you continue left past houses, across Ulysses street then find the cement path continuing down W 78th drive.
After the last switchback going down the hill you go in front of 2-3 houses to cross Salvia and then W 77th Drive at the traffic circle. The first house had a big trampoline in the back yard.
After these street crossings you get a nice grassy path.
We crossed W 76th Drive.
This part of the path was really pretty and we had a good trot.
We crossed Torrey Court
We passed a soccer field to the left, then paralleled the soccer field. The trail veered off the the right to join Tucker Lake.
Below left: Scary object Sam briefly thought about then dove for some grass. Fork to the left goes to Tucker Lake parking lot, to the right, back to Pattridge.
Below: Video of Sam and I trot/cantering from Tucker Lake back to Pattridge Park.
Pretty view from the top of the switch-back, heading back to Pattridge park.
