Rawhide Trail - Right Fork
So, the trail started out not too bad and really pretty. I thought 1.6 miles, how bad could it possibly be??
There were lots of tree roots exposed and it got a LOT rockier.
This was the worst part of the trail. However, there were probably about 3 places where we went up sheer rock. Sam stopped, begged for treats then went up the rock face like a rock-star.
Right when you think you are at the top, there is more rocks....
It finally goes back to packed dirt and hooks up with the Waterhole trail. I was really happy to see this fork!!
The Waterhole trail was easy! We stopped for a good rest and some grass. Sam is really fit and was breathing pretty hard. We also lost a shoe up the rocks.
And we made it to the campground. Go back HERE to see the rest of our trail.
